It’s not enough to drink pumpkin spice latte, spray pumpkin spice perfume and wash your hair in pumpkin spice shampoo. Stylists are now channeling our all-consuming love for the Starbucks flavor into a hair color. Yes, #PumpkinSpiceHair is officially a thing. Before you freak out, we promise it doesn’t involve rinsing your hair in pumpkin spice. It’s actually a beautiful, soft shade of copper.
“We’re seeing that pumpkin spice hair has more copper undertones whereas gingersnap tends to fall under the category of brunette with red undertones,” Laura Estroff, the head colorist at Kennaland Salon, told Cosmopolitan. The food-inspired hair color is actually right on trend with fall beauty. Warmer hues like Blake Lively’s and Chrissy Teigen’s bronde and the aforementioned gingersnap are becoming increasingly popular for Fall.
You can try out the new pumpkin spice hue with all-over color or wear it sparingly with highlights or ombre. No matter which style you choose, just be sure to grab the latte, lip balm and potato chips for your #AllPumpkinSpiceEverything Instagram post.
