Kerry Washington to Launch Nail Polish Line With OPI

While we anxiously await the return of Scandal in February, Kerry Washington is busy expanding her beauty profile. Already a creative consultant for Neutrogena, Washington just signed a lucrative deal with OPI nail polish. The actress will serve as creative ambassador for the brand, co-designing her first line of nail polishes. Washington is excited for the chance to sport her own polishes at fancy Hollywood events: “I’m looking forward to testing out new shades on the red carpet,” she told WWD. “The fun, for me, is that nail lives in the crossover space between fashion and beauty.”

For design inspiration, she’s drawing from the work of another beauty icon: Gwen Stefani. “I’m a big fan of Gwen Stefani’s line for OPI,” Washington said. “She has done such a great job having her collection represent her – not just with OPI, but through everything she’s done. If I can do something similar, I will be very happy.”

Stay tuned for details on when Kerry Washington’s line for OPI hits stores. In the meantime, Kerry will continue to paint her digits with her favorite OPI shades: Big Apple Red (bright candy apple), You Don’t Know Jacques (taupe polish) and Lincoln Park After Dark (deep red-black), a color we bet Olivia Pope loves too.
