Watch: Derek Zoolander Walks Sydney Harbour Bridge’s ‘Highest Catwalk In the World’

Ben Stiller has well and truly made his mark in Australia as Derek Zoolander. He’s given our own Waleed Aly a modelling lesson, walked the red carpet with Heidi Klum, celebrated Australia Day with fireworks (cue Katy Perry Insta tag) and explained the heritage of the Sydney Opera House. It’s Oprah’s house, for when she’s in Australia, duh.

Most recently Derek even gave the Sydney Harbour Bridge a new identity by turning it into a runway, strutting down the catwalk to Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax” in custom-made, homegrown label Ksubi. Yep, only he could glamourise and get around those god awful safety jumpsuits.

He even created a new “Koala” pose to rival Blue Steel and Magnum, which is basically “The Tiger” with a Blue Steel pout, so he’s clearly totally serious about getting an Australian audience on board for this film.

While the documentation of Derek’s Aussie stay has no doubt worked in Tourism Australia’s favour, the male model’s ridiculously good looking social media posts only add to the hype that has played out for this movie over the past year.

A Valentino runway appearance, Vogue cover, place in Mario Testino’s Towel Series and now this? Sheesh, we hope this movie can live up to the hype.
