Makeup products and sheer tights may not come in every shade, but Christian Louboutin flats do. The famed shoe designer announced an extended range of pointy toe flats on his Instagram page just in time for spring.
Christian Louboutin nude flats are available in seven unique shades, including two new hues debuting this season. “This spring, two new hues join our Nudes collection to create a spectrum of seven suited to any skin tone, from porcelain to deep chocolate,” Louboutin wrote. Priced at $595 each, the stunning flats are crafted from “soft, flexible, matte nappa leather” to “mimic the feeling of the skin, allowing the shoe to nearly disappear on the leg.” They feature a pointy toe, delicate bow detail and the brand’s signature red sole.
In an industry that’s far from inclusive, it’s thrilling to see a high-end designer cater to a diverse range of skin tones. The Nudes collection, which includes pumps and sandals as well as flats, is nothing short of groundbreaking. While most of his peers promote exclusivity or ignore the diversity conversation altogether, Christian Louboutin has proven to be progressive and forward-thinking. And his customers respond in kind: many of the flats are already sold out.
