Jennifer Aniston Serves Up a Dreamy and Breathtaking Cover for Harper’s Bazaar (Forum Buzz)

Our forums were ready to move on from Drew Barrymore‘s artificial smile on the March 2016 cover of Harper’s Bazaar and thankfully, the title has unveiled its next installment much to our delight. Making a return to the front cover for the umpteenth time, actress Jennifer Aniston stars on Bazaar‘s April 2016 edition and our forums aren’t exactly surprised. That being said, Jen’s last notable cover appearance was back in 2015 for InStyle, so was a cover overdue? Photographed by Camilla Akrans, Bazaar took things outside to shoot the subscriber’s cover (below), which was the first to surface earlier today. In addition, Jen can also be found on the regular newsstand cover, posing in front of the magazine’s overused white background wearing a dress from her beloved Saint Laurent.

Amazingly, both covers left forum members very pleasantly surprised. “Wow, great way to start the day! What a breathtaking shot!! This is one of those covers which I’ll get despite the awful content. The dress highlights her famous toned physique well. The shot could’ve been zoomed in a tad more, but it’s splendid regardless,” raved Benn98.

“Very striking. I like it. My only niggle is that I wish her foot wasn’t submerged. Proportionally, I’d like a heel to be on to elongate it all I think. But maybe that’s just me!” chimed in honeycombchild. (more…)

Salvatore Ferragamo has a brilliant plan to protect against counterfeiters. The brand will insert microchips into accessories so consumers can easily distinguish between authentic pieces and fraudulent copies. The microchips, which can’t be copied, will live inside the heels of the shoes and in select bags where it can’t be seen. They’re readable from a distance of 4CM or less.

It stands to reason that Ferragamo would invent new ways to combat counterfeits. They confiscated 12,400 illegal items last year alone, totaling $17 million. But the chips will not only will thwart counterfeiting, they’ll help preserve resale value. Thanks to the microchip, sellers can prove the authenticity of the Ferragamo piece and thereby demand more money from shoppers.

And if you’re wondering if the chip is a secret ploy for the government to monitor your whereabouts, rest assured: it can’t be tracked.

David Yurman’s New Campaign With Kate Moss and Anna Ewers Suffers From Too Much Photoshop (Forum Buzz)

David Yurman’s last campaign ushered in a new concept for the brand, after opting to eschew its iconic black and white images. Yurman’s newfound direction now continues into its Spring 2016 campaign, which is once again lensed by photographic duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The New York-based luxury jewelry company welcomes back blond beauties Anna Ewers and Kate Moss as the faces of its latest collection, who each star in Yurman’s bright and airy campaign with Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele reprising her role as stylist.

The campaign ultimately received mixed feedback, however. “Glad to see David Yurman is pushing ahead with the new direction, but I expect Kate will be his constant. This is a lovely shot, they should’ve switched to color years ago,” shared Benn98 with Anna’s shot being the first to surface.

“Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott really? They’ve changed their style so quickly but I like it,” chimed in madzedre, showing instant approval. (more…)
