Kim Kardashian is fresh off the cover of Paper‘s Winter 2014 issue (causing quite the stir while she’s at it) and now stars on UK Elle‘s ‘The Confidence Issue’ for January 2015. There’s no denying she’s got confidence, right? The British fashion glossy tapped the 34-year-old reality TV star for its first issue of the upcoming year and took the opportunity to approach the collaboration from a fashion angle. The social media sensation stands before a timeless grey backdrop and appears as though she styled herself for the shoot. Kim also poses for a series of images by French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino, which are yet to be released.

Above is the cover for subscribers. A preview of the newsstand cover can be found inside the thread here, but that doesn’t stop our opinionated forum members from contributing their two cents. “And God created Kim – what?!” reads catherine88 from the magazine’s front cover.
“God is going to be absolutely furious when he sees this! Her doctor created all this … crap!” adds DutchHomme.
Lifeispeachy certainly isn’t in the mood for another Kim cover and writes, “Enough with her already.”
Also not in the mood is Marc10: “It looks like one of those lame self-help books that insecure and shallow women dive themselves into.”
“Ain’t no stopping Kim, I see. She’s a beautiful lady. Both covers are nice but I like the first cover more. These captions the magazines uses for her, girl…” contributes TeeVanity.
Early days for us on our forums with the cover only being released within the past hour. Are you impressed? Await even more pictures from the shoot inside the thread and tell us your own opinion here.
Soon, you’ll be able to have a bag and shoes to match your Theory dress, now that the company has unveiled its first accessory offering of chic carryalls and fly footwear. And you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on the products as WWD confirms they are due to hit shelves January 15.
Even with the exit of designer Olivier Theyskens, Theory is pressing on and has hired new staff to help in this latest endeavor. The line will open with three soft bag styles, ranging in price from $295 to $745. There is the Urban with its flap closure and interchangeable straps, a leather clutch called the Post, which also has changeable straps, and a simple tote called the Signature. The bags are rendered in leather and leather-backed suede, and boast a minimal aesthetic with simple silhouettes and understated branding.
Theory has done shoe collections in the past as capsule collaborations with designers, so for its official first shoe range, the label tapped CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize recipient Paul Andrew to help. The label is kick-starting its new product line with a small, two-style offering that includes a flat sandal with thick, crossing straps and a chunky-heeled sandal. But don’t worry — the brand plans on releasing five more shoe styles for pre-fall.
Keep your eyes peeled for Theory’s new accessory offerings, which will be available January 15 at Theory stores and Theory.com.
Gisele Bündchen and Karl Lagerfeld have become fast friends. The Brazilian bombshell was spotted shooting the upcoming Chanel campaign in Paris this month, currently stars in the brand’s No. 5 fragrance campaign and now poses on the cover of Vogue Brazil with the German designer’s beloved cat Choupette. No doubt photographed in Lagerfeld’s studio in Paris, Gisele sports a bouffant hairstyle and thick eyeliner complemented by a nude lip as she hugs Choupette close for the magazine’s December cover.

But oddly enough, our forum members are left with mixed feelings toward the cover. “No thanks. Why is coral such a popular cover color all of a sudden? Reminds me of my mother’s nail color! Looks like they’ve got a new art direction, I don’t like it. Also don’t like Gisele’s pin-up/bed head hair. Looks cheap. All this is very underwhelming, I hope her Chanel campaign won’t look like this,” commented an underwhelmed Benn98, who started the thread off on a negative note.
“Sarah Jessica Parker, is that you?” questioned Bruce7Lee.
KateTheGreatest didn’t seem to share the same sentiments and posted, “Gisele makes anything work, even if it is shot by Lagerfeld.”
Things were looking up! “Choupette is so cute. I guess Gisele has become Karl’s new muse,” added fashionlover2001.
“So Gisele got a Chanel makeup ad, No. 5 ad, Spring Summer 2015 ad and is Karl’s new obsession. What’s next? Fendi? Salzburg? Couture? She is having a great year!” replied an amazed Lola701.
Also posting his approval for the cover was Elfinkova: “Oh I love it! She looks like her old self here.”
Benn98 returned to the thread and proclaimed, “Good grief, only noticed now. Choupette got second billing again, like she did last time on Vogue Germany!!! This is crazy.”

Versace has released a new advertising campaign to promote its new fragrance for women entitled Eros Pour Femme. The iconic Italian brand tapped Lara Stone looking like the quintessential Versace woman, shot by Versace regulars Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The blond bombshell strikes a pose for the Turkish photographers’ lens and nails it completely by resembling a Greek glamazon goddess. Lara stood on a podium that elevated her impressive physique, which was decked out in a fabulous white and gold dress teamed with a pair of sexy gladiator sandals, while those coiffed golden locks blew in the wind. And we couldn’t be more delighted with the results.

What more could we possibly want? Our forum members sure are satisfied with the outcome. “Yes! Lara looks hot here, very cool for Versace. I’m growing to like their new bookings, girls who actually suit their aesthetic,” complimented Benn98 within minutes of the image surfacing on our forums. We were off to a good start!
“Oh Lara is perfect for this! Can’t wait to see the video,” enthused an ecstatic orchidee.
Nymphaea agreed and raved, “What a great choice of Versace to choose Lara! They are perfect for each other.”
“This is so deliciously Versace. Lara looks uber hot!” added a more than thrilled Nepenthes.
Also proclaiming the Dutch model as the best possible choice for the campaign was Lifeispeachy: “Sexy! I love it, Lara is the best choice they could have made.”
“Flawless … even her hair looks gold,” wrote an impressed DutchHomme.

We’ve established how Porter magazine consistently delivers fantastic covers issue after issue. The publication has tapped Gisele Bündchen, Lara Stone, Christy Turlington Burns and even managed to knock out a Lady Gaga cover. Now moving on to its sixth issue, Porter gives us a faultless cover with the sensational Cate Blanchett. The magazine switches things up and replaces Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin (who’ve shot every Porter cover since its launch) with Ryan McGinley, who captured the timeless Aussie beauty wearing a dress by Miu Miu with another Versace dress worn underneath (yes, really!).

It’s apparent in every Porter thread that our forum members are loving what the magazine offers us each time around. “Stunning!! This woman is so beautiful. Ryan McGinley is bound to work wonders on Cate,” shared a satisfied Benn98.
“Stunning, they consistently have fantastic covers, and content. But I believe this marks the first time since their launch, that I&V didn’t shoot the cover,” added Miss Dalloway.
KateTheGreatest made it clear she’s a fan and wrote, “Absolutely gorgeous, they [are] really amazing with their work.”
“The cover looks great. She’s ethereal, as always. I’m really looking forward to the editorial,” enthused an optimistic mistress_f.
Also sharing the same sentiments was Nepenthes: “So wonderful. Cate Blanchett has that kind of beauty which is almost awe-inspiring. I love her!”
“Absolutely stunning. Not that I was expecting anything less, Cate always photographs well,” [Piece Of Me] raved.
Nymphaea felt exactly the same way and commented, “Terrific, Cate looks gorgeous! Love the soft colors.”

To celebrate its Métiers d’Art show going down next week in Salzburg, Chanel is putting out Reincarnation, a short film dedicated to the collection, featuring none other than fashion darlings Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne.
The Karl Lagerfeld directed film is supposed to tell the story of Coco Chanel’s time in the Austrian city, when she became so enamored with a hotel elevator attendant’s jacket, she got inspired to create her own. Pharrell, who wrote the song for the film, “CC the World,” plays both the attendant muse and Emperor Franz Joseph I, come to life in a dream sequence with Cara, who is cast as Empress Elisabeth of Austria. The model gets to show off her vocal chops in this film as she performs the title track as a duet with Pharrell.
The seven-minute film will feature Geraldine Chaplin as Gabrielle Chanel as well as a troop of other favorite models from the house, including Heidi Mount, Baptiste Giabiconi and Lady Amanda Harlech.
The flick hits Chanel.com December 1, but if you can’t wait until then, watch a teaser clip from the film above.
