Kirsten Dunst is Back

Actress Kirsten Dunst has been keeping her personal life on the downlow for the past two years, but it seems like this is all soon to change.

She just wrapped up All Good Things with Ryan Gosling, is filming Upside Down with Jim Sturgess, and has two other projects in the works, one of which is alongside Twilight star Kirsten Stewart.

Finally, we can look forward to catching a glimpse of her adorable smile and dimples on the red carpet, where she always stands out because of her impeccable taste in unique designer gowns and dresses.

Her most recent trek onto the red carpet was at the 2010 Met Costume Institute Gala, where she looked like an ephemeral beauty in a delicately embroidered white one-shouldered gown designed by her good friends, the Rodarte sisters.

With numerous connections within the fashion industry, it is no wonder that Kirsten Dunst has developed a quirky and chic style that is all her own.

Ever since she made boys squirm in The Virgin Suicides, and inspired girls to dye their hair red in Spiderman, it has been noticed that Kirsten has a sharp eye for mixing high street, vintage, and designer brands together with a distinct, laidback elegance.

She may pair thigh high mustard stockings with a timeless dress, or bright pink All Star sneakers with a classic blazer, putting together a quirky combination that is so delightfully “Kirsten.”

No stranger to the art of fashion recycling, her red quilted Chanel purse, camel trench, and leather loafer shoes are a few of her favorite essentials that she keeps wearing season after season. What may look repetitive on someone else, Kirsten makes look  fresh each time she wears them.

Her style always exudes a tiny bit of dishevelment and roughness around the edges, a nonchalant French flair that she artfully masters. Her face free from make-up, a slightly crinkled plaid shirt, and her favorite denim jacket that she loves to wear inside out are examples of Kirsten’s distinctly laidback and effortless style that never looks too fussy or prim.

She can be granny chic in a long vintage dress and tasseled shoes, or totally girly in a short feminine frock and wooden wedges.

She can rock Proenza Schouler and an H&M together fearlessly, or rock wear a menswear-inspired two piece suit.

Kirsten is a girl who dresses for herself, purely for the fun of it. The best thing is that she knows and sticks to what she likes, and isn’t afraid to experiment or step outside of the box.

This confidence is what makes her look good in anything she puts on.
