It’s that wonderful (and crazy) time of the year once again: New York Fashion Week.
While publicists run around with Blackberries attached to their ears, bloggers try to sneak into shows, and designers fuss over the finishing touches of their beloved collections, celebrities are treated like royalty in the front row.
And they get to attend the biggest and the best after-parties.
New York Fashion Week kicked off with Fashion’s Night Out, where many of our favorite celebrities made special appearances and joined in on all the shopping extravaganza.
At the Ralph Lauren mansion, Halle Berry sparkled in a sequin-embellished, sheer black blouse, while Jessica Alba mixed glam and rocker chic in a beaded dress and motorcycle jacket.
Rachel Bilson looked edgy and fabulous in bright shots of fuchsia, while meeting starstruck fans at the Sunglass Hut flagship store.
Leighton Meester kept things girlie and preppy at events in a ruffled peach blouse and modest pleated skirt. Chanel Iman was all long-and-lean legs at the Chanel Soho boutique re-opening in a retro-inspired beaded dress.
Nicole Richie showed off her pipes when singing Spice Girl karaoke songs at the Bergdorf Goodman department store, and the industry’s favorite fashionable twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, were seen at Barneys serving drinks and looking as chic as ever in all black.
At the fashion shows, the boys drew just as much attention as the girls. There was Gavin Rossdale, with his super-cute son Kingston, sitting in the front row at the Edun show. They both wore distressed denim jeans; Gavin looked crisp in a white blazer and Kingston looked playful in baby blue stripes. A fashionable father-son duo indeed.
Kelly Rowland and model Jessica White wore similar body-conscious monochromatic mini dresses at the Jen Kao show. Finally, style icon and one of Hollywood’s most elegant actresses, Diane Kruger, honored Karl Lagerfeld in a stunning Chanel dress at a fashion week luncheon alongside Anna Wintour.
The celebrities were spotted everywhere, from uptown and downtown to front row and backstage. If only we could step into their shoes for just a day!
