Kate Middleton: 5 Wedding Gowns Worthy of a Princess

After 8 years of being Waity-Katie, Kate Middleton is engaged to Prince William!

Since the announcement, Kate has been sporting her stunning engagement ring (which was previously Princess Diana‘s) made of 14 diamonds and one incredibly beautiful sapphire. William proposed on a safari trip in Kenya, after carrying the ring around in his backpack for two weeks.

Everyone wants to know who will design Kate’s wedding dress. We’re betting it will be someone British but until we know for sure, we’ve picked out some dresses that are fit for a princess.

1. Donna Karan

This beautiful silk satin one shouldered gown would be a risk for Kate, but one that would show off her beautiful figure and a nice change from a classic wedding gown.

2. Issa

Kate loves label Issa, and this dress is very similar to gowns that Kate has worn in the past. The halter neck and gathered waist would look stunning, especially if Kate wanted a more bohemian wedding.

3. Lela Rose

This Lela Rose is a classic princess cut strapless gown, and would make the perfect fairytale wedding gown. In the biggest wedding since Diana and Charles, this dress is sure to inspire hundreds of little girls to dream of marrying a prince.

4. Lanvin

For a fashionista take on a wedding dress, who could pass up sigh-worthy Lanvin. This whimsical gown is from a label Kate doesn’t wear often, but would be magical on the big day.

5. Vivienne Westwood

This is what we’d love to see Kate in. A quintessential English designer and slightly off-center dress. The gown is slightly reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw’s magical gown but with a little more class and understated elegance, just like Kate.
