Real Housewives Infestation at NYFW; Lady Gaga Thinks We Want Her To Fail

Jill Zarin at New York Fashion WeekThought NYFW was all about the clothes? The Real Housewives of NYC have other priorities. Since the upcoming season of their show was pushed back to make room for a new batch of women from Palm Beach, the NYC girls have been throwing themselves in front of every camera at Lincoln Center in an attempt to stay relevant. While Countess LuAnn de Lesepps, Ramona Singer, and Alex McCord have attended basically every show and party with lax security, Jill Zarin was the only housewife that got to take a walk down the runway. Cheers to the designer, Zang Toi, for making sure that Zarin's styling included a campy, over-the-top bouffant. For a reality TV star, Zarin looks phenomenal, but come on, designers: if you want to sprinkle your catwalk with a couple of celebs, find a star that's famous for something besides getting into catfights. The recent rumors about Katy Perry and Russell Brand's marital problems are still going strong. Sources claim that the couple's overactive careers are putting a strain on their relationship, and it looks like Brand isn't helping matters. He's just finished up guest-hosting Saturday Night Live, but the English comic has already announced a subsequent guest appearance on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush. [INeedMyFix]

While in Japan for her Speak Now tour, Taylor Swift tweeted a photo of herself dressed up as a geisha. The pop star's alabaster skin and prominent mouth take to the traditional makeup particularly well, and the photos have me dreaming of Kabuki chic. [Earsucker]

Mila Kunis covers W mag and vows to never dance again. The Black Swan star describes the multitude of gruesome injuries she accumulated while training for her role as a ballerina. Kunis: "I was like, Well—I wear heels; I can do this. I was wrong: Christian Louboutins are uncomfortable, but I screamed the first time I put on a pointe shoe." [DailyStab]

In other cover news, Justin Beiber lands the cover of Rolling Stone. The Beibs confirms his relationship with Selena Gomez (his computer wallpaper is a photo of the couple!) and won't promise to practice abstinence until marriage. [AmyGrindhouse]

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Lady Gaga reveals that she thinks her career will be short-lived because the public ultimately wants to see her fail. That sounds like an accurate assessment, but in my experience, these kinds of judgements are normally self-fulfilling prophecies. So Lady Gaga haters: you'll get what you've been asking for.
