Since the Mondrian SoHo opened last month, it’s seemed to lure me through its green gates nearly bi-weekly. Whether I’m meeting for post-work drinks or ending my evening at Mister H, I can’t seem to avoid the place (not that I would ever want to).
Last night was no different: this time, however, it was the penthouse for the preview party for Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. The world’s first PlayStation Certified smartphone brought out the likes of Jessica Szhor, Ben Lyons (check out the girl making a bizarre face in the background), Harley Viera-Newton, and Christian Siriano. Alexa Chung crafted a fine mix of DJing and dancing, wearing a Lover dress and Pamela Love jewelry. Guests munched on passed canapés by Sam Talbot, himself, Grey Goose cocktails being the perfect pairing.
I had planned to stay only an hour or so, but, as these things tend to go, ended up leaving several hours later…only to see some friends in the lobby who persuaded me to grab a bite at Imperial No. 9. Sigh…
