Sandra Bullock Turns Up ‘The Heat’ on the Red Carpet

Sandra Bullock has been an A-lister for almost two decades now and she's more than proven her stylish staying power. The Oscar-winning actress was on fire during her recent promotional tour for The Heat. Although she still loves a little black dress, the star's been mixing up her look lately by offering a nice range of colors and textures with designs from Emilio Pucci, Prabal Gurung and even Ermanno Scervino.

Her fashion sense has always been heralded as pretty sophisticated. Take the elegant black and white Marchesa with draped back Sandra wore to the 84th Academy Awards back in February 2012. She styled the embroidered gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Casadei heels. For the 2013 People’s Choice Awards this January, Sandra selected a blue Vera Wang belted strapless dress. She capped off the look with a bright pink pair of Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps.

It was an elaborately embellished black and silver Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown for this year’s Oscar ceremony. Harry Winston gems and a Swarovski clutch served as accessories. Sandra’s promotional tour for her buddy cop film really took off in April at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. She teamed her black and white Roland Mouret Spring 2013 look with black Elba pumps by Rupert Sanderson.

Victoria Beckham was behind Sandra’s sultry strappy backless Spring 2013 black dress at the London premiere of The Heat in June. A gold bracelet and coordinating L.A.M.B. Payton sandals wrapped up the look. The actress stuck with black for the movie’s Berlin photocall the following week. Her Michael Kors Fall 2013 blouse was combined with a leather ASOS pencil skirt, Pomellato bracelets and Tabitha Simmons Strippy sandals.

For the New York premiere of The Heat, Sandra stood out in a laser-cut leather Ermanno Scervino black dress. Bottega Veneta strappy sandals featuring crystal-embellished butterfly appliqué heels rounded out the sleek look. Sandra broke out of her black phase for The Heat photocall in Sydney. Her blue Alberta Ferretti ruffled sleeveless top and cropped pants were accented by black L.A.M.B. booties.

The star shined later that night at the Australian premiere in an embellished Emilio Pucci tunic. She accessorized with diamond earrings and gold Roberto Cavalli sandals. Sandra headed back stateside to attend the Gravity preview at Comic-Con International 2013 in San Diego later that month. This structured red Roland Mouret Fall 2013 sleeveless dress was complemented by Giuseppe Zanotti black pumps.

Sandra may not be a real risk-taker when it comes to the red carpet, but her consistency in the style department definitely deserves some admiration.
