Double-Take #2: Anna Wintour and Rooney Mara in Proenza Schouler

Anna is known for being pretty conservative when it comes to her own style, favoring just a handful of designers and kitten heels for most public appearances. The Vogue editor-in-chief took a small step out of her comfort zone at last Wednesday’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner party in Beverly Hills, though, by wearing a Proenza Schouler Spring 2014 pleated skirt with cream, black and foil sections partnered with a textured ivory top. On the closing night of the 51st New York Film Festival back in September, Rooney went with the full dress as presented on the runway, which seemed better suited to the dramatic actress thanks to that keyhole-accented pleather sleeveless bodice. Jennifer Meyer gems and black Brian Atwood Tribeca peep-toe platform pumps served as accessories. Do you think Anna was in vogue or do you applaud Rooney’s unaltered approach?
