London is still alive with the buzz of the London Collections: Men shows that are taking place today. But even the plethora of suited men around the city couldn't overshadow the impeccable style of the women attending the ever-impressive Burberry Fall 2014 Men’s show at Kensington Roof Gardens today.
Burberry Brit Rhythm star Suki Waterhouse proved that girls can win at menswear too, channelling a masculine style throughout her whole look. Dressed in a tailored burgundy Burberry Prorsum tuxedo jacket and tailored trousers, with an oversized soft-shouldered coat from the brand’s Spring 2014 collection, the British model took on the good old British blustery weather in style. Sadly there was no sign of her most fabulous accessory to date, Bradley Cooper, but Suki was spotted having a quick catch up backstage with the Lord of Burberry himself, Christopher Bailey.
Also spotted backstage post-show was Paloma Faith who threw all caution to the wind and opted for a full feminine front to the menswear show with her glorious strawberry-blonde locks falling loosely over a deliciously pink tea dress in transparent lace and light turquoise coat from the Spring collection. Even amongst the carefully picked front row guests, Paloma shone through the muted tailoring of Tinie Tempah and Jamie Campbell Bower who sat beside her.
With the gloomy, grey day visible above the runway, the rich cashmere knits and wool-felt trenches showcased for Fall looked far more appealing than any Spring lace, as well as to-die-for tote bags, hand-painted with scenes of the London skyline. We can guarantee that this collection will not only be coveted by the boys for next season.
