British versions of major fashion magazines love to host award shows. Both Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour hold yearly events designed to honor worthy women, while drawing out a slew of stars in the process. This week’s showdown involves repeat looks from last year and last week’s London ceremonies. One slightly under-the-radar designer also received some major love from two actresses decked out in her printed ensembles. Examine the following battles and then cast your vote on who made the biggest impact.

Paloma’s throwback style has become part of her trademark, but the singer took a more modern turn at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards 2014. Her black sheer Nicholas Oakwell Couture Fall 2013 gown featuring floral appliqués was styled with a bold red lip and an equally crimson manicure. Gillian opted to line the revealing gown back in November for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2013 in London. The X-Files star accessorized with Adler jewelry and Manolo Blahnik heels. Do you prefer Gillian’s lined take or Paloma’s see-through interpretation?
