Stylish Stars at the 63rd Melbourne International Film Festival

The stylish stars served up a mix of feminine pastels, leather looks, white lace and elegant, lengthy black gowns. The beauty trend of the event was easily the statement red lip, quickly amping up most outfits. See below our roundup of the best looks from the film festival.

Winners & Losers star Melanie Vallejo stepped out in a pastel pink wrap skirt teamed with a black pleated tank and pointed-toe pumps. To prevent the outfit from looking basic, she opted for a leopard print clutch and mint dangly earrings.

White lace is always a winner, with These Final Hours actress Sarah Snook looking feminine and effortless in this high-neck mini. Her strawberry-blond locks, plus red lips and matching red pointed-toe heels polished off the cutesy look.

We thought Jessica De Gouw looked good for the These Final Hours Australian premiere, but this elegant black gown got us thinking that the budding actress has more stylish tricks up her sleeve. The structure of the dress, including the front slit and revealing side cuts, perfectly combined grace and sex appeal. Jessica also accessorised well with a metallic clutch and simple pointed shoes, plus seductive red lips and side-swept locks.

My Kitchen Rules twins Vikki and Helena Moursellas opted for black, whites, reds and tans for the event, because when you’re constantly photographed together, you’ve got to be strategic. The girls pulled out a black jumpsuit with tan accessories, plus an on-trend, red, full-circle midi skirt with a white V-neck cami and open-toe black boots. The colour scheme meant a red lip for the twins could be easily incorporated.
