Can you wear dangly earring on the tennis court? Apparently so, as it was just announced that the world’s top-ranked female tennis player, Maria Sharapova, inked a 2-year deal with Tiffany & Co.
The tennis star is set to wear eight different pairs of earrings included at the four Grand Slam Tennis events: The French Open, Wimbledon, and the US and Australian Open. Things kick-off May 25th at the French Open when she will be sporting a pair of the $1,150 yellow gold Elsa Peretti Wave earrings, available at www.tiffany.com.
The jeweler will also accessorize Sharapova’s custom French Open tennis dress with a Tiffany pearl button closure. The dress called the ‘Paris dress,’ is designed by Nike and is a dark blue number with contrasting white satin ribbons and comes complete with a double layered pleated skirt.
In a Tiffany press release, Sharapova says that she is very excited to partner with Tiffany, whom she called her favorite jeweler, adding that the Elsa Peretti wave earrings feel as beautiful as they look.
Let’s just hope the beauties don’t interfere with her A-game!
