ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FOR TARGET NYC PREVIEW

To make up for the fact that there is no Target in New York City and to fete the start of Fashion Week there is now, through February 15th, a pop-up Alexander McQueen Target store at St. John’s Center (330 West Street at West Houston Street). There was a private shopping event held the eve of the first night of Fashion Week to preview the collection which officially launches online and in stores March 4th.

Further, the rumors that the collection was inspired by the British band The Duck Spirit were confirmed at the preview event when the band took the stage and each attendee who made a purchase was gifted one of their CDs.

The prices of the pieces – which fit better than previous designer-Target collaborations – range from $19.99 to $129.99 and include lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts, cuffed shorts, trench coats, denim, cropped studded jackets, menswear-inspired tuxedo blazers, a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem, swimwear, and cotton voile print scarves.
