CELEBRITY FASHION NEWS: WEEK OF JUNE 1

Salvatore Ferragamo is helping the victims of the earthquake in L’Aquila earlier this year by asking celebrities – including Madonna, Dita Von Teese, and Eva Longoria – to donate their “favorite” bag for a charity auction. A cocktail party, hosted by “Entourage” stars Debi Mazar and Adrian Grenier, is slated to take place at the Los Angeles Ferragamo store on June 2nd where guests will be able to shop and check-out the auction items with a portion of the night’s sales going to Global Giving’s Italy Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund.

John Legend, Rosanna Arquette, Rose McGowan, and Melissa George are among the big names expected at the event.  However, the eBay auction (www.ebay.com/globalgiving-italyearthquake ) starts June 3rd and is open to all.

In other celebrity fashion news, Israeli model Bar Refaeli, like so many before her, says that when she was looking for the right swimwear to suit her figure, she found herself unable to find the perfect black bikini. So, she set out to design her own.

With a retail price of $120, the “little black bikini” (http://store.hurley.com/detail.php?v=hurley_girls_swim&p=95344), is sold by Hurley as well as at Victoria Secret stores. Refaeli describes it as “small, but not too small,” adding that in terms of functionality she wanted it to offer support, be seamless and adjustable so as not to pinch, and be quick-drying.

Hurley is planning on showing the two piece at the Miami Beach swimwear trade show in July.
