GET THE FASHION SHOW LOOK

On this week’s episode of The Fashion Show (episode 7), the designers got the chance to create a garment inspired by Isaac Mizrahi’s very own mood board. Working in teams of two, the contestants had 8 hours to put their looks together.

As predicted, Reco and Daniella had different visions when it came to their inspiration. Daniella fought for a pantsuit and Reco urged for a gown. Anna and Haven worked well as a team, creating a tribal-inspired ensemble. Merlin and Johnny R., as the winner’s of this week’s mini-challenge, got five minutes alone with Isaac to discuss their vision of a structured plaid skirt and black jacket. In the end, however, it was Haven and Anna’s look that won over the audience and the guest judge for the week, Veronica Webb.

Lidia and James-Paul created a fishtail patterned dress with an oversized jacket that did not mesh.   Although Daniella and Reco’s floral ‘granny’ pants and orange coat was not an audience favorite, Webb decided to send Lidia home due to the ill fit on her model. The winning designers’ model’s hair was created by Jeanie Syfu and we were able to get the scoop on how Syfu created those unruly ringlets:

  • Apply TRESemmé Thermal Creations Instant Heat Tamer Spray on dry hair, concentrating on the mid-shaft to ends.
  • Starting at the nape, use a 1/4″ curling iron to create small ringlets from roots to ends.
  • Once the entire head is curled, create a center part and finger through to loosen and fluff the curls.
  • Rub TRESemmé Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Crème on hands, and twirl small sections of hair around the finger to create definition.

The Fashion Show airs Thursdays at 10/9c on Bravo!
