What We’re Wearing: New York Fashion Week Photo Diary, Day 2

Very excited to start today off with Kate Spade. Everything the brand does is fun and lighthearted and they’ve always got an endless assortment of quirky finds at their shows. I have to say, though, I'm most curious to see what the candy-obsessed brand has on hand for snacks backstage (stay tuned via theFashionSpot's social media channels!). I’m also looking forward to Rag & Bone (always love their hats and coats) and the First Annual Fashion Media Awards, which The Daily Front Row is organizing. It’s taking place at one of my favorite restaurants, Harlow.

photoDinner aside, I won’t have too much spare time to stop and eat beforehand so I’m packing some of my favorite snacks from One Lucky Duck. To say I’m obsessed with the raw-vegan spot (they also operate a fantastic restaurant called Pure Food & Wine) would be an understatement. If I lived close enough to one of their shops and could afford it, I have no doubt that I could be a fulltime raw-vegan. Their snacks are so good, in fact, that my father, who doesn’t like anything healthy, eats their macaroons by the bagful (just as long as I don’t mention the word vegan…). Without a doubt, my best friend for the day are their chocolate and blonde macaroons, which I’m packing along with a bag of Quackers. I’ve also got some cookies and other treats, but saving those for another day…gotta spread the love!

Outfit-wise, I wanted something versatile, so I went with a quilted faux leather vest, stretch denim jeans and a black and white striped blouse, all from INC International Concepts at Macys. This is the perfect outfit to take me from my daytime to my nighttime duties and the shoes have a manageable three-inch heel. Stretch denim may be one of the best inventions ever…
