New York Fashion Week: Men’s Is Coming

American menswear designers finally have a home court stage to show their collections. The CFDA has successfully organized a men’s fashion week to take place this summer in New York City. Previously, American menswear designers were forced to wait until September to show their collections after buyers had already put in orders or stage shows abroad.

New York Fashion Week: Men’s is slated for July 13 to July 16 (just around Men’s Market Week) and will feature designers Rag & Bone, Public School, Timo Weiland, Patrik Ervell, Michael Kors and Duckie Brown, to name a few. Amazon, Shinola and DreamWorks are among the sponsors for the event which will take place at SoHo’s Skylight Clarkson Sq , a 60,000-square-foot space.

CFDA CEO Steven Kolb is hoping that the event grows in time. London Collections: Men has only been around for about two years and it’s proved to be quite a success. Hopefully, American designers will enjoy the same results.

It looks like July is going to be even busier than we thought! We can’t wait to see what the fellas churn out now that they have their very own stage.
