This Designer Dressed the Most Celebrities This Awards Season

There are a few designers that are ubiquitous on the red carpet: Gucci, Dior, Armani Privè, Zac Posen to name a few. But each year, the winner is a toss up. Fashionista‘s annual red carpet report rarely crowns the same fashion house from year to year.

In 2015, Versace was the top red carpet designer. Gucci, Lanvin and Dior shared the honor in 2014 and Valentino nabbed the number-one spot in 2013. This year, the distinction goes to Marchesa. As Fashionista notes, the title comes as a surprise as Marchesa hasn’t even made the list since 2012. This year, the New York-based fashion powerhouse had the privilege of dressing Viola Davis, Zendaya, Sofia Vergara and Chrissy Teigen to name a few.

Coming in second place, Armani Privè dressed luminaries like Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts, and Versace snagged the third spot, outfitting Jennifer Garner at the Oscars and Best Actress winner Brie Larson at the SAG Awards
