Members of our forums didn’t let the cover go down lightly. “Sorry but this is realllllllllllly bad,” voiced a horrified Avogadro the moment the cover dropped, about to set the tone for comments to come.
“Don’t like this retro outfit, looks more fitting for Christmas with that star on her cheek and that Christmas ball in her ear. Edie looks fresh faced but the cover doesn’t grab me, no magic,” said a disapproving Nymphaea.
Expressing the same sentiments was Wolkfolk: “This is the perfect example that VP needs a complete revamp and a new team. How ridiculous is this cover seriously. Edie looks like a rabbit and the pose is simply ridiculous. Basically they chose this picture because the main title says ‘Chic right up to the fingertips,’ she’s biting her nails so let’s make it a cover. Absolutely moronic and amateurish.”
“This is truly horrible. Her pose, the styling, everything is bad! LMAO!” laughed mistresss_f.
“Are they serious with this cover? It was shot by Inez & Vinoodh, so don’t tell me that there weren’t better shots available,” declared an unsatisfied MON.
“The cropping is a mess, her arm looks like someone else’s, and that earring is too much. They were probably aiming for something quirky, but the result just falls flat,” complained Benn98.
