Gisele Bündchen Makes a Triumphant(?) Return to the Cover of French Vogue for June/July 2025

The June/July issues of French Vogue are just as important, celebrated, and anticipated as September. Throughout the magazine’s history, editors like Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt have invited us on an array of sun-drenched summer escapes along with the likes of Kate Moss, Natasha Poly, Andreea Diaconu, Edie Campbell, and more. The title’s newly appointed head of editorial content, Claire Thomson-Jonville, is keeping the tradition alive. Give it up for Gisele Bündchen, who makes a return to the cover of Vogue France for June/July 2025. For her first cover shoot post-pregnancy, the Brazilian beauty takes to the lens of Mario Sorrenti on the island of St. Barts. On the beach, Gisele poses down on the shoreline and works a white oversized maxi dress from Chloé (as chosen by cover shoot stylist Alasdair McKimm).

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“They got Gisele and came up with that?” questioned liberty331rb upon checking out the cover.

“Why would you get thee Gisele and hide her face with so much hair?” asked a dumbfounded aracic.

“The industry has become so stale. They truly think that everyday people will look at that cover and think ‘art and luxury’. What a waste of Gisele,” stated Squizree.

Sharing the same underwhelming sentiments was thiago. “It looks like she’s been shot with an iPhone. Very pedestrian photography-wise!”

“What is it with photographers becoming awful? I just don’t understand how you can be one of the best in the industry and suddenly you can’t even choose a flattering angle,” voiced Avonlea.

“Admittedly, it’s not the strongest Gisele Bündchen cover of French Vogue. The photography from Mario Sorrenti is questionable. I hate the angle, the lank pose, and the hair on Gisele’s face, but I do love the setting, the Chloe, and the fact it’s Gisele right where she belongs,” reasoned vogue28.
