Ian Griffiths has served as Max Mara creative director for 30+ years. Over recent seasons, the long-serving figure of the luxurious Italian label has been in the mood for change when it comes to the brand’s advertising campaign imagery. Since the Spring 2024 season, Griffiths has commissioned Craig McDean as campaign photographer. This season is no different. This time around, however, Vittoria Ceretti is switched out for Angelina Kendall for the Max Mara Fall 2025 campaign. The rising industry favourite poses before the lens of McDean throughout the striking campaign imagery, set against a dramatic wilderness landscape and complete with styling from Tonne Goodman.

“That’s beautiful. Love the drama. The backdrop is doing all the work,” noted Squizree upon checking out the campaign images.
“I’m able to appreciate just how much of a departure this is from previous campaigns, and I love the solo casting of Angelina Kendall. She’s not emoting much here, but that background is very hard to compete with – it’s so rich, striking, and full of depth. Very nicely done!” praised vogue28.
“I like the idea of it, but nothing looks natural any more. It’s all so one-dimensional, shared tigerrouge.
After all, not everyone was so impressed. “I adore the backdrop, but yeah, Angelina is not working it at all,” chimed in Royal-Galliano.
“I love Angelina, but this is kind of boring,” Simera confessed.
