We have blogged about it, Instagrammed it and told just about any person who will listen (including one TSA employee in the San Francisco airport) about our recent steal of the century at Nordstrom Rack. So when we were invited to the Bay Area’s most recent store opening event, you can imagine how quickly we RSVP’d yes. Well, Gwyneth had to sit this one out, but I wasted no time in planning this week’s trip to the new store at Sunvalley Mall.
For shoppers looking for a little inspiration, this handy checklist with Fall trends was positioned at the store’s entrance. As much as I love a punch list, I was unable to slow my roll long enough to fully take it in — I was too distracted by all the treasures in plain sight.
While Nordstrom Rack does offer all the designer pieces I love at prices up to 70% off retail, I had to remind myself that being a smart shopper does not mean bringing them all home with me. (Tragically.) But I’ll share my favorites with you today, and tomorrow you’ll see which ones I decided were too good to pass up. First up, this Rebecca Taylor studded bodycon dress — originally priced at $450.00 but $199.97 at Nordstrom Rack.
Unsurprisingly, I was also drawn to the table stocked with colorful Kate Spade bags in shades of pink and orange just perfect for Fall.
Another favorite — these leopard print Marc Jacobs scarves, especially the red and black colorway.
And then I found heaven. More specifically, the women’s designer footwear section. The Charles Jordan suede tassel booties originally priced at $200, but marked down to $119 were definitely talking to me.
Another treasure sign from heaven, this orange Kate Spade coat with fur trim, originally priced at $650, but reduced to $359.97. Only one left and in my size – pretty difficult to ignore, don’t you think?
Back to bags, I practically blacked out at the Rebecca Minkoff selection. These splurges were also reduced, making them feel more like steals.
Lastly, I cruised by the hair and beauty department where I found many of my daily must-haves.
So what came home with me? You’ll have to check back tomorrow to see the three looks I picked up, but here’s a hint. I now have a few new pieces for work, date night and the weekend.
