Richie Notar — who got his start at Studio 54 and was a managing partner at Nobu — is also the force behind Harlow, which just opened its first offshoot in Sag Harbor over the summer. We asked the restaurateur, currently working on opening a jazz lounge and bakery in Harlem, our quickfire questions. 

  1. I usually get up around… with two kids and two dogs, I’m up at 7:30 a.m.
  2. I would never leave my home without… my “electronic leashes”: iPhone and iPad.
  3. My guilty pleasure is… Orange Chicken from Shun Lee.
  4. What I love about the Hamptons is… the freedom the lovely beaches offer.
  5. My favorite places to dine include… my home or any fish shack by the beach.
  6. When I’m stressed I… go for a swim.
  7. The most treasured item in my closet is… a Lanvin corduroy suit. Or maybe my red belt.

  9. The last thing I googled was… a place to stay for last-minute trip to Ibiza.
  10. The most surprising thing about my job is… I very often go home hungry.

  12. When it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I… eat loads of vegetables, drink pH-balanced water and exercise.
