Tom Ford just cannot keep himself away from controversy. Once again, the American designer hit the headlines with his Spring 2003 advertising campaign for Gucci, hiring Mario Testino along with Carine Roitfeld on styling duties to capture his latest collection for the Italian brand. The result was a set of provocative, racy and overtly sexual images in which the theme became even more apparent when a shot of model Carmen Kass surfaced, pictured with the iconic Gucci emblem shaved into her pubic hair. International press branded the shot degrading to women, and as a result, it became prohibited.
