Peter Som S/S 2011

Gone are the hippie-inspired looks of last season; it would seem Som is taking us to Miami.

In recent seasons, Som has struggled with financial woes and instability but if this season’s wares are any indicator, he has turned the corner and is back with a vengeance.

The designer noted that he wanted to bring joy into clothing, and stay true to his sartorial ideology.

The collection is vastly composed of separates with micro-mini hemlines, and features marbled prints and combating textures in an array of summer resort colors.

Noteworthy looks include an assortment of simple yet unique dresses and skirts in prints, patterns, and fabrics, such as an oversaturated snakeskin.

Subtle brocades and pop art prints round out the youthful presentation that is sure to attract vacationing sophisticates and Palm Springs socialites alike.
