After months of speculation and denials to the contrary, celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe has finally confirmed that she is, indeed, pregnant. Was this the worst kept secret in Hollywood?
Take the first piece of pregnancy evidence gathered by the gossip weeklies: the celebrity stylist was spotted at events drinking water in lieu of champagne. Zoe is not known for being a big drinker; how can we forget the episode of her reality TV series The Rachel Zoe Project where her husband Rodger has to fight just to get her to take a sip of wine with him?
Then came the news that the svelte fashionista was spotted wearing billowy silhouettes – a trademark for Zoe, so not very convincing either. Finally, Zoe was seen hiding her stomach with a Hermes clutch at a recent charity event. This might have been convincing, had she had a noticeable baby bump. Turns out, naysayers like myself, were dead wrong as Zoe took to Twitter to confirm that the rumors are true and she is expecting a baby with Rodger. “Hey everyone!,” she wrote, “I want to officially confirm to my loyal friends and followers that I am pregnant!…I feel great, Rodger and I are beyond excited and so thankful for all of your love and support. xoRZ & RB.”
I don’t expect Zoe to deviate much from her signature boho-chic, 70s-inspired aesthetic, as the loose silhouettes she favors are tailor-made to suit a pregnant figure. We wonder if she’ll take a cue from Nicole Richie and find inspiration enough in her pregnancy to take her clothing line to the next level. No word yet whether or not a maternity line – or a baby line, perhaps! – is in the works for Zoe’s clothing and accessories collections for QVC, but we imagine she’ll probably go that direction. Either way, congratulations to the Rachel and Rodger Rosenzweig-Berman family!
