Fresh and Club Monaco Team Up for the Holidays

Club Monaco is on a roll: first, the retail chain launched an exclusive e-commerce boutique on Shopbop, then they showcased their impressive line-up for Summer 2011. Inspired by a trip to St. Bart’s, the brand’s designers created a white-focused, on-trend collection of easy-to-wear dresses, lightweight knits, lace tanks, tunics, scalloped-edge shorts, pleated skirts, and sailor stripes. While you won’t be able to get your hands on the Summer pieces until April 2011, Club Monaco has thought of something to tide us over: the retailer has teamed up with cult-fave beauty company Fresh for the holidays.

At 12 Club Monaco stores nationwide, you can get a limited-edition gift set that includes your choice of two of Fresh’s popular Sugar Lip Treatments. At the launch party, astrologer to the stars Susan Miller was on hand to offer beauty tips for each astrological sign. According to Miller, as a Taurus I should opt for the Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment as it “appeals to the Taurus’ sensuous side … and would help care for her beautiful rosebud mouth.” Sounds good, but I think I’ll be sticking to my go-to, the original lip treatment formulation with no tint. The third alternative is Fresh’s newest plum shade.

Fresh foundersWhile Susan Miller drew most of the crowds at the event, Fresh co-founders Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg (right) also attended to answer questions and help apply some of the products. I was able to speak with the affable Glazman for a moment and he told me that, though he uses everything from the Fresh collection on a rotating basis, his go-to products are the Soy Faced Cleanser and the Rose Face Mask (which is made with actual rose petals!) I haven’t tried either product yet and don’t know Glazman’s age, but he founded Fresh and starting using the products 20 years ago– today, he looks completely youthful and wrinkle-free.
