Lulu Frost for J. Crew Jewelry Collection Launch

There couldn’t be a better way to toast Lulu Frost for J. Crew’s wintry collection than with frosted peanut butter, Oreo, and cinnamon cupcakes, coin-sized black and white cookies, and a side of holiday shopping. So was the case at the intimate fete hosted by J. Crew creative director Jenna Lyons, J. Crew VP of Women’s Design Marissa Webb, and Lulu Frost designer Lisa Salzer at the J. Crew store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side last week. The champagne-filled event was even attended by J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, who looked relaxed and seemed excited about the holiday collection, as he mingled with the crowd.

Salzer, along with the J. Crew design team, picked pieces from the jewelry designer’s extensive archives as inspiration for the collection. The line turned out to be a glistening array of vintage-inspired pieces, all of which have been fashioned out of handmade chains, antique glass crystals, and bits of 10 carat gold. The pieces retail from about $85 to about $260.

While the Lulu Frost pieces were certainly the highlight of the event, it’s no secret that fashion editors and bloggers love J. Crew, and a number of those who attended took the opportunity to shop. In addition to its winter and holiday pieces, J. Crew recently teamed up with a number of popular brands, including: Cosabella, Essie, and Stila; they now offer products from those brands, that coordinate with the color palette of the J. Crew collections.
