Blugirl Fall 2011 Runway Review

The Blufin family of collections is one of the most efficient in maintaining each line’s target audiences and while this season’s Blugirl woman may be a bit more sophisticated than usual, the effervescent and jovial collection subscribed to all of the season’s most wearable trends.

The Milan-girl-goes-to-the-countryside collection featured furs, discreet patches of jewels, super saturated color blocking, and a lace-filled finale of enviable cocktail-wear. The higher necklines, sophisticated outerwear, and clean lines made for covetable daywear the likes of which we saw in New York.

The schoolgirl socks with Mary Janes added an element of youthful quirk but overall the collection was targeted at an older and more cultured woman. With a hint of Italian glamour and effortless refinement, the collection was a classic homage to the Cool Britannia and we should hope more designers take a note from the wearable, and certainly saleable, collection.
