Romona Keveza Fall 2011 and Bridal 2011 Preview

The story of Romona Keveza‘s Fall/Bridal 2011 collection preview at the St. Regis was magical. Taking place in the elegant and intimate Presidential Suite last month, the collection was inspired by Romona’s four favorite cities: Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles.

The inspiration was evident in the gowns; colors ranged from deep greens to bold purples with a constant stream of black throughout the whole collection. Punctuated with gold in the form of 60s-inspired swing coats made from shimmering gold fabric and wide waist belts, the gowns ranged from party-worthy plunge dresses with teacup skirts that ended swinging at the knee to a more serious gown with an arching neckline and mermaid tail train.

Luxurious and sumptuous fabrics, like velvet and silk taffeta, gave the collection an elegant, old Hollywood feel that was classic and sophisticated. The lines were simple and determined, ranging from a plunging v-line back to an arching neckline and a classic strapless bodice. Romona Keveza bridal follows the same lines as the Fall 2011 collection, featuring gowns with impeccable detailing; superior ruching and full bodied skirts made from floating tulle and appliqued petals stole the show. The styles offer brides a classic, beautiful gown with perfect tailoring and fresh new details.
