Burberry and Chanel Fall 2011 Campaigns Previews; Kate and Will Cover Vanity Fair [PHOTOS]

Burberry’s Fall 2011 Ad Campaign

Early this morning, tFS user ChanelCouture posted the first images of Burberry‘s Fall 2011 campaign, scanned from British Vogue‘s July Issue. The first picture features models (that appear to be) Molly Smith, Amber Anderson, Thomas Penfound, and actress Felicity Jones (from left to right below). The photographer is unconfirmed, but likely Mario Testino, who has a habit of shooting for the label. Burberry’s fall collection was more than a little underwhelming, and that’s reflected in the campaign. Styled in Dalmatian caps and orange pea coats, Amber and Felicity look, at best, like a cross between Cruella De Vil and a Jack-o-lantern. Very chic. [tFS Forums]

Will & Kate cover Vanity Fair

Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue were both intent on being the first glossy to feature the Royal Newlyweds on its cover, but the high-brow tabloid Vanity Fair‘s July issue knocked the fashion heavyweights out of the running. The Conde Nast publication snagged a never-before-seen photo of Prince William and Kate Middleton from their engagement shoot with Mario Testino. The snapshot looks like the work of a flash-happy party photographer, but I suppose Vanity Fair is hoping that the candid look will sell copies to readers that are hoping for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the couple. I do wonder how much the magazine had to pay to scrounge up this scrap of a photograph off Mario Testino’s dark room floor, and why they didn’t just bring their own disposable to the interview. Chanel Fall Ad 2011

Fashion big cheese, Karl Lagerfeld, snapped Freja Beha Erichsen for her fifth consecutive campaign for Chanel. Not enough that one of today’s top models was photographed by a top designer for a top brand? The shoot was styled by former Paris Vogue editor and style icon Carine Roitfeld, and shot at a photobooth in Paris. [Fashionologie]
