Charlotte Ronson Spring 2012 Runway Review

Given her appearance at Cynthia Rowley the night before, one couldn’t help but wonder whether Lindsay Lohan would make an appearance at Charlotte Ronson – she didn’t. That said, given that Ronson recently launched a beauty collection at Sephora where every product is named after one of her celebrity friends/family members, it was little surprise that a number of bold face names, including Patricia Field, Nicky Hilton, Margherita Missoni, Whitney Port, Kelly Osbourne, Joy Bryant, Russell Simmons, and Angela Simmons, did come to the young designer’s show, which gave the designer’s fans the brand’s signature army jackets, slip dresses, and cropped tops in new iterations.

Whether inspired by the West, the 90s (notably via belts worn as chokers), PJs, or other, the collection stayed true to Ronson’s downtown, casual aesthetic and the best looks, fashioned out of lace for a romantic take on dressed-down casual, will surely end up on any one of the young stars seated front row.
