Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2012 Runway Review

A year after expanding into shoes, Rebecca Minkoff continues on the road to building a lifestyle empire (most recently she followed in the footsteps of the likes of Yigal Azrouel in teaming up with Proper Attire). Her Spring 2012 collection with its pops of neon, watercolor prints, and models with puffy, wavy hair and coral pouts proved that when it comes to dressing the twenty and thirty-somethings who want to look on-trend without looking trendy, she reigns supreme in the contemporary market.

Cutouts, sheer touches, chalky painterly prints, and more mini dresses than one could count were featured prominently for a slew of easily layerable, warm weather looks that the designer’s devoted following will surely buy up.

And, in a sign of her internet savvy, Minkoff, who previously asked blogger Rumi Neely to model in one of her presentations, had Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller walk the runway while recording it all on her cell phone.
