Alessandra Facchinetti showed her first collection after the recent retirement of Valentino Garavani and the transition was seamless.

Breathtakingly gorgeous detailing and a wonderful balance of neutrals and splashes of color, gave Facchinetti’s collection a young twist, all the while staying true to the classic, feminine Valentino name.

Stunning silhouettes that mixed delicate draping with stiff, almost astronaut–like suiting shapes, along with the signature Valentino flower embroidery, chiffon, and silk made this a wonderful collection complete with both the drama we expect from couture and the beauty of architectural shapes and art translated to fashion.
