The British Are Coming! Ted Baker Invades Fifth Avenue: The Cannon Canon

I had the pleasure of going to the Ted Baker's "Grand House" store opening in New York City. The store is uniquely designed with British Art Deco flair and follows the style of retail theater the brand is known for – the three-story showcase is reminiscent of a traditional London townhouse set in the 1920s. The space also embraces its iconic Fifth Avenue location with subtle design elements, such as exposed brick, which mimic a Manhattan apartment. Each floor will represent a different area of ‘Ted’s Grand House,’ a theme that is communicated through visual elements and stunning interior details befitting the grandiose narrative of the store.

“Building upon the ongoing success of our US business and the development of our brand internationally, the new Fifth Avenue store illustrates our desire to be seen in all the right places and puts us in the heart of one of the world's premiere shopping districts. The location will give those new to the brand a healthy dose of the retail theatre and rich detailing that we have become known for and our regulars the sense of place that they have become accustomed to with Ted,” notes CEO and founder, Ray Kelvin.

Ted Baker is a global brand with over three hundred locations across five continents.  'No ordinary designer label,' Ted offers menswear, womenswear, accessories (and the lovely extras in between).  Renowned for a distinct use of pattern and color and a quintessential British sensibility, the brand’s unconventional approach to fashion, irreverent sense of humor and, above all, unswerving attention to detail appeals to style-conscious men and women who trust Ted to deliver that certain something…a little out of the ordinary.

Located at 595 Fifth Avenue at 48th Street.

Store hours are 10:00AM – 8:00PM, Monday through Sunday.
