Issey Miyake Spring 2013 Runway Review

Miyake’s seasonal inspiration came through most notably via softly draped lightweight fabrics, which lightly fluttered as the models made their way down the runway, while fantastic black and white graphic geometric and striped prints — often folded into pleats — made for a slew of knockout separates and dresses shown in both fitted and looser varieties.

Rounding out the collection were garments made of double-sided printed fabrics which added a high tech, but wearable (at least for those very comfortable with bold colors) dimension to the collection.
