Haider Ackermann Spring 2013 Runway Review

Ackermann has a special talent for making clothing look casual despite intricate tailoring, which this season had a distinctly Japanese inspiration. Obi-like belts, origami pleats, polka dot print, and sheer fabric made for romantic looks that were alluring without ever revealing too much skin. Silhouettes came in both fitted and slouchy iterations. Fittingly, both Tilda Swinton and Japanese painter Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, dressed in a kimono, attended the show.
