Hermes Spring 2013 Runway Review

With an amalgamation of colors, textures, patterns, and cuts, it may not have been the most cohesive collection Christophe Lemaire has presented for Hermes, but Spring 2013 was certainly filled with luxurious pieces that lived up to the storied brand's name.

The designer showed his worldly influence via graphic prints fashioned into loosely tailored separates and a few stiff tops. The most impressive looks were menswear-inspired (a suit, a belted trench, and a belted shirt dress) and those done in the house's signature luxe leather, notably leather accented outerwear. Exotics also popped up making for a number of eye-catching looks, including a croc top and coordinating shorts — only Hermes could make such a look not only appear fluid, but anything other than tacky.
