Glamour tweeted, “We’ve got a first look at Brad Pitt‘s new Chanel No. 5 commercial! Is it sexy or sort of strange?” Whatever your answer, it seems like everyone (on Twitter that is) is asking that same question. Even the folks at Good Morning America got to tweeting, “Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel No. 5. Good choice?” Here is what Twitterati uncovered. Refinery29 tweeted, “Brad Pitt is haunted by Chanel No.5 (and not, say, Jennifer Aniston or the ghost of his beardless face).” Maybelline’s PR Director, Julia Murphree, tweeted, “Brad Pitt Chanel No. 5 commercial… (with all due respect) meh.” Others were a tad more enthusiastic. Styleite tweeted, “Brad Pitt’s $7 million ad for  is here!” Lucky added, “Brad Pitt could sell us a bag of Chanel dirt and we’d still buy it.” Do you agree? We sort of do.

Rihanna Covers Vogue in a Wheat field

Vogue November Cover featuring Rihanna via The Fashion Spot

Rihanna ‘Love[s] to Have Fun’ on the cover of ,” tweeted The Fashion Spot. While the fashion site found both the cover line and overall cover non-riveting (#Twitterati agrees), here is what we found out about what lies behind Ri-Ri’s second Vogue cover. For starters, StyleCaster tweeted,”Rihanna Spills On Everything From Chris Brown to Partying In New Vogue Interview.” Tom + Lorenzo tweeted, “Rihanna looks gorgeous and talks yet again about Chris Brown in .” Gossip site Just Jared quoted Rihanna’s interview tweeting, “Rihanna: World Hasn’t Let Go of My Relationship with Chris Brown.” So apparently if you want to learn more about Rihanna and Chris Brown’s on-and-off relationship, all you have to do is pick up Vogue‘s November issue. And of course, there is that impressive visual where she is sitting on a wheat field and all.

Alexa Chung Reveals Body Image Issues

It appears that celebs aren’t the only ones taking to the media to defend weight criticism (I’m looking at you @TheRealXtina), as now one of fashion’s biggest “it” girls is also revealing her own battles with body image. Fashionista tweeted, “Alexa Chung gave us an amazingly candid interview about body image and much more.” Apparently the fashion icon revealed that she “quite often wishes she’d gain ten pounds,” according to The Cut, in order to quell rumors of eating disorders and such. British Elle quoted the fashionista tweeting, “‘There are definitely days where I’m like, I look disgusting.’ But that’s being a human being.” However, Ms. Chung does hope that society’s obsession with all things vain starts to fizzle — which is tantamount to hoping for snow in Miami — but hope is always positive. British Vogue also quoted Alexa’s hopeful words tweeting, “I think it’s about time people stopped judging women on their appearance.”

So Long Vogue! Carine Roitfeld is Now the Harper’s Bazaar Global Fashion Director

So long Vogue! Harper’s Bazaar announced via Twitter, “BREAKING: Carine Roitfeld named Global Fashion Director of Harper’s BAZAAR.” Which of course was followed by Fashionista.com tweeting, “Carine Roitfeld has been named the Global Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar! Wonder what Conde Nast thinks?” Probably not such happy thoughts. However, there were several well-wishers including Nina Garcia, who tweeted, “Need to tweet this again! So happy to have Carine Roitfeld as Harper’s BAZAAR global fashion dir. Welcome to Hearst CR!” Derek Blasberg added, “BREAKING! Exciting news in the world of fashiondom: Carine Roitfeld named Global Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar.” If all that hype doesn’t put camp Wintour in a frenzy, then who knows what will.
