Armani Prive Haute Couture Spring 2013: Jewel Encrusted Peplums and More Luxury

Giorgio Armani's couture collection oozed sophistication — even when the Italian designer opted for daringly bright pops of orange. Armani doesn't need a slew of new ideas or frills to make his look luxurious, instead he relies on precise cuts and sleekly tailored silhouettes, most of which came fashioned in bright metallic fabrics this season.

Pants were particularly strong with most coming fitted and cut just above the ankle and slightly billowing at the bottom. Though many are tired of peplums, shown against floor length skirts or lean trousers they appeared fresh in this collection, especially given the intricacy of the jewel encrusted variations. Also worthy of being singled out were the variety of fitted jackets, which were finished with sinuous shoulders.
