News & Runway

There have been rumors stemming-back to this past summer that Alexander McQueen was going to be the next one to do a Target collection and those rumors have finally been confirmed. The collection, a version of the McQ collection called McQ Alexander McQueen for Target, will have a rock ‘n’ roll influence drawn from British band The Duck Spirit. Reps for the line say that we can expect details such as studs and tattoo-print fabrics.

Up until now Target has been focusing on brining the designs of up-and-coming designers to the masses with their Go International initiative, but McQueen will be the first designer to be part of target’s newest fashion initiative called Designer Collaborations. Launching in March, Designer Collaborations will be focused on bringing designs from well-established designers to the masses.

Target will be announcing additional Designer Collaborations participants shortly and each collection will be available in stores for a limited time.

The McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection will launch on and at select Target stores nationwide March 1, 2009 and will be available through April 11, 2009.
