LANVIN ACME DENIM

In a few days Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz will unveil the fruits of his first foray into denim when his capsule collection for Swedish brand Acne Jeans hits Acne Studio, Barneys New York, and Bergdorf Goodman. The 28-piece is made from Italian and Japanese fabrics and the denim jeans are minimally treated so as to maintain their color.

When discussing his capsule collection, Elbaz told Fashion Week Daily, “I’ve started conceptualizing all of this not so long ago. I was very pleased when I started working with Acne. They’re just young, energetic sexy Swedes and our partnership really wasn’t about signing hardcore contracts, it was really just about creating about something that was mutually fun and creative. The beauty of it all is that if you can dream it, then you can do it. At first, I of course imagined a silhouette of jeans that we normally think of for men and women – but then, when you think about it you can do anything with jeans–even jewelry!”

The jeans line ranges in price from $550 to $650, while coats are set to run for between $1,200 and $1,500, and jewelry and handbags are said to be priced at $1,500 and up.
