With Fashion Week just a week away the anticipation is building, so to feed some of the excitement and curiosity over the upcoming collection we got a sneak-peak at Tracy Reeseā€™s inspiration for fall 2009.

Reese will be showing her Fall 2009 collection on Monday, February 16 at 1pm at The Salon at Bryant Park. Her collection for the season was inspired by post-impressionist portraiture, including the works of Vuillard, Van Gogh and Modigliani and their expressive use of color as a vehicle to convey mood. We were told via a press release that the pieces that Reese will be showing combine pattern with rich color combinations to create an eclectic Fall 2009 collection. The collection is being described as romance and understated glamour meet rustic chic.

Expect a mix of raspberry plaids, pink florals and basil green argyles. Reese adds that layering prints and patterns are key this season and that relaxed and slender silhouettes with menswear influences look chic when paired with spectator heels.
