MISS SIXTY F/W 2009

Miss Sixty, per usual, was more about the atmosphere, the front row, and the top models on the runway (think Jessica Stam), than the actual clothing. The photographers had a field day with the likes of Mischa Barton, Coco Rocha, Rufus Wainwright, Kristen Bell, and Minka Kelly all in attendance.

Multiple-buckle wide leather belts, super-tight skinny acid-wash jeans, graffiti-style tops, patterned tights and leggings, and, of course, jumpsuits abound in this season’s collection.

Also of note – a number of pieces with a magazine cover-print which were very reminiscent of 80’s Versace. The Versace reference (whether intentional or not), was fitting for this season’s Miss 60 collection, given that the label took a stance of being unfazed by the recession, presenting bold, vibrant clothing – with a color palette that reached from A to Z – that ultimately, was more about fun and optimism than wearability.
