JILL STUART S/S 2010

As for the collection, in a departure from the frilly tulles and light pinks that we have come to expect from Jill Stuart, this season the designer went futuristic with some structured, geometric, paneled, fitted pieces – many of which were done in a dark color palette.

Given the color palette, this was one Jill Stuart collection that could easily have been mistaken for a Fall/Winter one, were it not for the skimpiness of most of the looks.

Though many of the looks came out successfully, and even if they were more sexy than the feminine, but there’s no denying that a bulk of the show was created purely for the runway and will have to be reworked to appeal to Stuart’s core demographic, which still looks to the designer for easy, light, and wearable looks.
